Getting Rid Of "watermarks" On Documents

Hi folks, I am trying to get rid of a "watermark" from a document, but can't work out how to do it. the watermark actually says "draft", but it's not a draft document any more, so want to get rid of the WM.

On the version of Word I have here, I would go click on "Page layout" then "Watermark" then "remove watermark" but things probably change, version to version. You could go to "Help" and type "remove watermark"...

What software have you used to create the document?

You've not told us what type of document it is. (i.e. the file format).

If it's a pdf you can't do it.

If it's a word-processor document (.doc or .docx file format) it should be possible but, again, you've not really provided enough information. i.e. you've not told us which program you're using. (Word 2003? Word 2007? Word 2013? OpenOffice? AbiWord? LibreOffice?)

If you're using Microsoft Word, google 'microsoft word xxxx remove watermark' (replacing xxxx with '2003', '2007', '2013' or whatever, as per the program you're using) and you should find your answer. If you don't, please post again, providing more information.

You don't. You print it again without the watermark and sling the draft version away.

For sure the printing options in your word processor should allow you to add or remove "watermarks".

but I suppose for someone who expects us to guess what the file format is its probably way above their paygrade
