Please get off the bloody phone trying to buy your bonds and let the rest of us have a chance at conducting our everyday transactions!

I have been trying for several days to get through to NS&I and I can't even join the phone queue, it is getting really quite ridiculous.

Perhaps I should direct my gripe at NS&I for not adequately covering the required level staffing......but I'd be very grateful if the grey haired mafia could give me a fighting chance too ;-)

Give it another hour and they will have all gone to bed.
How to win friends and influence people.
Why would everyone be buying premium bonds specifically at the moment?
As I have already said (a few days ago), leave it as late in the day as you can...they are all in bed by 10pm.
They don't even put you in a queue, do they? Dreadful!
......and I'm not 65!
Prudie...who mentioned premium bonds?
Question Author
They're not Premium Bonds Prudie, they are Bonds for over 65s.

I've tried early, late, just about every hour of the day and get the same result. Frustratingly what I want to do cannot be done on line either :-(
Prudie - it`s the new pensioner bonds. It`s not the fault of the customers though. NS&I should have anticipated that there would be a lot of interest and should have been prepared for that but that would be too obvious.
:-( That's what I thought NS&I were
just for premium bonds I meant
It's not me, I'm not allowed to buy anything yet until I get back. March is the month, then you can forget about phoning anyone, I'll be on the line!
