The production of Puy lentils is always subject to adverse weather conditions around Le Puy en Velay (because they can't come from anywhere else), so supplies fluctuate. However the Waitrose website is showing both the Merchant Gourmet brand and their own brand as available for delivery orders, so it seems likely that they've got them in their stores.

Best to take a break from them, they only make you backdrift!
The LibDems have snaffled them all to munch when they have finished their hand-knitted yoghurt.
BA, the term I've heard amongst (shock horror) hippie circles I've moved in is "yoghurt weavers".
..used in the context of w@nky individuals who preach on sanctimoniously about various ideals they endorse.
We'll just have to wait for the DM to expose this scandal. I'm sure someone will bring it to our notice.
Anyway, I much prefer red split lentils.
What's so special about them compared to other lentils ?

Frankly my dear!!!!
Cheers. Ah because they are peppery and stay firm.

I like lentils, they were not the sort of thing my parents had as a staple but I tried them and liked them later in life. But I've never thought to check if one type is better than another. Lentils are good in soups. Probably better if they don't stay in shape then.
I saw them in my local waitrose recently. I like lentil curries and soups. Trouble is, after eating them , it's a bit like Yosemite Sam..."There's thunder in them thar hills"
Plenty of Puy lentils in my Waitrose and they're wonderful. Split red lentils don't do the same job e.g. as salads.

Thanks Buenchico and the one or two others who didn't make tedious and boringly predictable attempts at being funny.
The Merchant Gourmet lentils are on sale in Tesco too.
