Talkmobile / Carphone Warehouse?

I had a problem with incorrect info with Bill Angel monitor of mobile data useage as it failed to flag up data exceed warning.
Talkmobile replied
"The Bill Angel application does not belong to Talkmobile, this is Carphone Warehouse's application. Due to this being
a third party app we're unable to take any responsibility for inaccurate information this may be providing you with."
Is this strictly true given that Carphone Warehouse own Talkmobile?
