House Insurance
my own home i live in ( House and contents with lodgers insurance ) 1913 to 1914 it went up £16 pounds . now 1914 to 1915 same policy gone up £229 11 pence .do anyone think this is a mistake, as £229 seems a big rise.when nothing extra has been insured on it .

My insurers did this to me a few years ago (Lloyds bank) I phoned them up and first they said they couldn't do anything, then I told them what other quotes i had and miraculously they could reduce my policy cost! I told them I'd think about it and carried on searching, I more than halved the cost by going to M and S and having buildings and contents together.
