HELP - Daughter has been tasked to find some interesteing things that happened 1st Nov [year irrelevant but they are 10 year olds] for next year's school calendar, tried Jeeves, but it's not particulary good. Any good sites you can point me to so we can 'find' them when she comes home from school? Big thanx

Jeeves is a useless search engine - abandon it now! Far better is Google - type your phrase, something like 'interesting events on 1 November' - you may need to tinker about with phrases you ask it to investigate, but it will find the best sites, and grade them in terms of suitability, before it posts them on your screen. i knew it was you before i clicked paulz, our girls are on the same curiculum, type into google 'november 1st + events + history' for loads of options. i liked http://www.scopesys.com/anyday/
