There is no real 'best' thing to eat at any time - something of every food group throughout the day, portion control and being sensible is the way to go.
Every slimming club i have ever attended say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A measured amount if cereal (30g) with semi or skimmed milk. Bacon (fat removed) and poached eggs with tomatoes and/or mushrooms, or a small slice of wholemeal toast with baked beans. Yogurt and fruit is ok
I think it`s a myth as well. If you want to eat, eat. If you don`t, then don`t. I can`t think of anything worse than eating first thing in the morning.
Not sure I agree. Although I can rarely face the thought of food first thing in the morning, apparently during sleep metabolism slows right down and something to eat in the morning kick starts it again.
if everything else in your day was unchanged and you started having the cereal whereas before you had nothing at breakfast, then you'd put weight on as you're consuming more calories but burning off the same.
Depends on the person, their genetic disposition so I don't think it's a question that has a comprehensive answer to. Each to his own, breakfast means to break the fast which has occurred during eating and drinking nowt whilst asleep. If it suits you to eat then do so and think about how you spend your morning as to whether it's going to burn off the calories or not. Go with the flow is my opinion, just eat as healthily as you can 'no kerapp' food and let nature take its course.
