£40m in the bank and the state fund her son's transport to and from school with specialist nurses (1.5 hrs each way). It is argued that Harvey must go to this school. This was done because Harvey has a Statement of Special Educational Needs because of his disabilities. Within this Statement it includes the name of the school Harvey must attend.

Katy Price pays her taxes, so is her net worth irrelevant and should she receive the benefits that other mothers in her situation could apply for?

If you have millions in the bank, and you blow the lot on drinking and gambling, and then have a disabled child ... maybe you should be banned from claiming benefit, because its your own stupid fault that you have no money?

Aren't we forgetting that Katie Price has carefully stored up all her money?

She pays a load in taxes, from which poorer people benefit.

She will never be a burden on the state.

Even when she retires, the interest on her money will still be taxed heavily, so other people will continue to benefit from her taxes.

Indirectly, everyone benefits from Katie Price.

Stop having a dig at someone who pays in for the benefit of everyone else, and have a dig at greedy little toads like Lewis Hamilton who have stuck up two fingers at the needy, and flown off to sit in the sun and hoard his millions.

We don't know how much she gives to charity - maybe she pays the equivalent to charity.
It's common for children to be brought by taxi to these types of schools and distances of 40 miles are not uncommon

Kate's calculation of £1000 per day is based on hiring her private driver and a private nurse, to drive to and from her home to Harvey’s school twice a day (which is 1.5 hrs drive each way). This is not the sum that local authority pays.



It wont be far off or they would have mentioned it. Why do these types of jobs pay so much, who is dishing out the money?

I know someone in a similar situation, the driver coins £600 per week for between 7-10 hours. These are oop norf prices obviously southerners deserve more having more intelligent drivers..

£1,000 a day would be what it costs if she paid privately. Transport, specialist nurse, school fees. That would easily cost £1,000 a day.

I don't like her at all BUT I say fair play to her and the people she has advising her. She has built up a business portfolio, she is an author and celebrity personality. All started off by getting her b**bs out and hanging of D listers to get in the papers. The public buy into Katy Price and thats why she had sold half a dozen auto biographies before the age of 35 and Channel 5 pay her half a million to sit in a house! Why shouldn't her kids get the benefits from the state that she pays into. I am not really disputing that.

She is a high earner, she is UK based and as such pays a lot of Tax on that income which qualifies her to receive the benefits she does for Harvey.

what does it matter what she does, she is incredibly hardworking & i think a great mother. she did say on the show the costs aren't just the 1.5 hours each way but includes the time the driver takes to get to her as well.

I sat and slept next to her on Virgin flight from LA to Heathrow a few years back. I did not know who she was, but she was pleasant to chat with and very polite. My wife pointed out who she was after the flight.
She did look good in her flight pyjamas lol
