Just thought I'd give you an update of BDRR.

The website is currently undergoing a huge overhaul :) and there's going to be a shop! All proceeds will be going to the rescue.

Sad news about our latest recruit; Trudy. She went into renal failure after her dental appointment. There was absolutely nothing we could do for her.

On a good note!

Spinning the Min (Minnie) is doing absolutely great and although she still spins occasionally, she is settled, maybe too settled! Sarah came round the other day and Minnie would of bitten her (very protective it seems). She might have to stay with us. She has such a lovely coat, it's so smooth and fluffy.

SYFR, that's The South Yorkshire Fox Rescue (for anyone who doesn't know about us), is off out on another run tonight, weather depending, to attend to an injured fox.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to us, it helps a lot! Maybe if I can get the dogs outside in the snow I'll be able to take some snapshots and get Christmas cards done for Christmas 2015. Last year I fell short because I was in hospital.

No problem Janbee. I've decided that when I'm driving again (which won't be long), I'm going to come and visit a few of you very generous people who have donated to us. I'd even like to bring the flagship dog Nipper (Nip Nip Bite and Scatch) along with me for everyone to meet. Maybe Sweep (I named her (yes I know it's a boyish name but she is a wire haired patterdale and looks like a chimney sweep)).
Great idea Diz . Look forward to seeing all your lovely dogs. I've put another cheque in the post to you. You should get it on Monday.

foxes are vermin for chrissakes

if you found a white rat in your garden you wouldn't go all goo-ey and say oh I must take it to my nearest vivisection lab would you ?

the average life span of a fox in the wild is eighteen months and if in captivity ( in a vivisection lab for example ) is a few years - five or six years.
Far too long as far as I 'm concerned

PP - obviously NOT a fox lover at heart

Janbee: You're too kind. I'm going to have to get the dogs to do something for you to show how much they appreciate it.

Watch this space!

ASPIRE ?

it is a charity that assists tetraplegics who are ventilated at home

well worth it

Peter Pedant: I understand your view point. I have the same view for grey squirrels - I don't particularly like them because they are not native however I wouldn't want to see one injured.

It's more about stopping animals from suffering.
Thanks for the info Peter. Cheque in the post today
hi dizmo, did you get my letter and photo of my pooch.another cheque is on its way to you.
peter pendant I sat and wrote out 3 cheques today, one of them was for mobility, and another charity.
Good on you Diz for helping the fox. I hope it was OK.

Slinky.kate: I made a personal post to you (I'm sure someone will find it :) ) thanking you for what you have done for us and for taking Cody in. You are a diamond.

It was removed. I can't seem to find it. Maybe I was too in depth. You will be receiving a letter from us within the next few weeks in order to thank you properly.
