I wasn't born until 1950 Maurice, so wouldn't know about that. HH was just a logical guess.

Apparently "Sands of Time" was also the name of a sculpture on BB in August last year, photo in Guardian easy to Google! Perhaps that's what meant after all.................Btw I'm not that much older: I grew up in West Sussex, but I've only discovered these things today via online search.
