She was good, but still did not portray Miss Marple as in the books. I never liked Julia McKenzie in the role; as for Margaret Rutherford in the 60s films, funny though she was, was nowhere the character, as Mrs Christie nerself

I met her once at the Theatre Royal Brighton after she'd been in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. She was a very nice elegant lady. RIP
