As with most things, it comes down to money: now you can pay to enter the Prize Crossword by phone or text. The Express did a similar thing a few months ago with its £1,000 Monday crossword. Bah !

it's very annoying as i like to send both off ,well i'll send them both as it's the same address ,and mark the envelope to both .

I can understand them not wanting to have to handle and shred tens of thousands of envelopes that must come through their doors, when only a handful need to be opened and checked
