My church has regular multi faith services where people from all religions attend - 4 times a year. It is attended well by Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and a scattering of Jews (there are not many Jewish people in the area) and they are very pleasant occasions.
This is a part of the multi faith services my church hold:

boxtops, the HP report related to Cathy Newman, channel 4 news presenter, and her attempt to participate in the "visit my mosque" day - she was turned away.
No thank you !
Good day out for AOG, youngmafbog etc in the making.....

Any chance of bacon sarnies?
Having looked at the pics on mamya's link - the reporter may have been wearing a headscarf, but her dress is very clingy and (although we might not agree) isn't what I'd expect people to wear to a mosque.
Nothing to do with her outfit,it is explained she went to a Mosque not operating an open day policy that day and was expected at another.

You need to scroll down and read the story.
She turned up at the wrong mosque. Not all mosques were participating in the open day.
I misunderstood, I thought the mosque was open - my mistake.
I rather think that if a Muslim lady, dressed however she wanted, had turned up at any church in UK on any day she chose, she would have been welcomed to look around and ask questions by whoever was there. Obviously there are some isolated churches which are locked against burglars, but generally speaking there would be no problem. Mosques should be open to all at any time on the same basis.
Sadly most churches are locked these days when there is no keyholder on the premises.
There is no dress code for Christians on the whole. Quakers, Jehovah's Witnesses, Amish are an exception where modesty is required.
I forgot a lot of exceptions in my previous post - the numerous Orthodox Churches, the Plymouth Brethren, the Latter Day Saints, Salvation Army, some of the many Baptists....
It seems the list is extensive.
Please excuse my cynicism but the good Immans have a lot of bridges to build before they can entice me to come in for a cosy chat with tea and biscuits. Some of these friendly fellows were enticing their flock to spread the word of jihad and that is why this country is now on a severe security alert . I am sure the family's of the victims in Paris are not, at the moment, feeling any bonne homme with the local Immans in Paris even though some of the victims were Muslim. I never notice any thugs barring anyone to enter a Christian place of worship either. Perhaps those who choose to take up this generous invitation to enter their holy of holys in this country could enquire of these holy men why Christians and muslims are not invited to a Christian place of worship in downtown Kabul or Basra!!

You'd like someone else to ask for you?

I'm not sure when I may next visit one as I don't get out too much now.
