Thank you both I will pass that on. x
Ouch! Been there a couple of times before and know that Ibuprofen and Paracetamol only just scratch the surface.
Isn't emergency dental treatment available at A&E?
Apply oil of cloves, Tesco chemist sell it or late night chemist.
I was going to suggest clove oil, applied direct to the tooth, but tambo got there first.
A and E may offer to cut the gum and let the poison out..reduce pressure on nerve and lessen pain..they did for me once..
if it's still swelling the antibiotics aren't working. Go back and see them again . Or check out mastercraft's advice.
gargle with salt warm water
I would use cloves but not everyone has that to hand. I've had a tooth abscess and it was H**L. It kept recurring off and on for weeks . The pain is horrendous. I wish your friend well and asap. I hope the dentist can get her sorted out this morning. Poor woman xx
