This recipe featured in Telegraph Weekend last Saturday (24 Jan), and I'm keen to try it. It calls for 400g buckwheat flour, which I cannot find here in the Isle of Man. There's almost every other kind of flour available, so I wonder if spelt flour or another could be substituted?
Can't find an e-mail for Ella, and I don't do Twitter or Facebook. Is there any knowledgeable AnswerBank baker who could advise me, please? Much appreciated.
Clare.

According to Mr. Google, buckwheat flour is gluten free so maybe any gluten free flour would do. It also mentions spelt flour, or any other all purpose flour.
I'm not an expert though by any means.
If it was me, I think I'd go with spelt.

Of course I won't, ethandron!
Whilst I'm a competent cook of, say, meals, attempts at baking are historic and I'm expecting a bit of a hit-and-miss scenario!
