Dogs And Arthritis

I heard about a drug the other day for the treatment of arthritis in dogs that I hadn't heard of.
I don't know if it is a new drug or if it is in use in the UK (Pete works in the Dublin area) but it is worth bearing in mind if your dog is suffering. http:// www.car trophen .com/ -

I have always found that Pete gives sensible and realistic information about animal related issues.

My cat (No. 1 Son) has been on Cartrophen for about a year for his arthritic shoulder - he has an injection of it once a month at the vet, and in between he has a dose of Loxicom by mouth at home every morning. If Cartrophen works on dogs as well as it does for us, it's excellent - he's boinging around the house, playing, no evident pain or stiffness at all these days.

It is good if a drug has minimal side effects.
Are you only down to one cat Boxy? I thought that you still had two.
Merlin has a knot on her neck that I plan to remove, she hates being brushed (her hair is long and silky). I might try teasing it out and if that fails get her with the scissors. She usually has beautiful fur but has a habit of over-licking in one area and it clumps.
