Victim Of Assault

If a minor has been a victim of a serious sexual assault and reports this to the police what are the chances of a conviction if the alledged attacker says it was consentual?
There is no evidence other than the victims account and the victim goes on to attempt suicide in the hours following? The attacker is also a minor.

If it's a minor it is irrelevant if it's consensual or not, it's still sexual assault with a minor irrespective of the age of the other party.

I could of worded it a little better. I meant that if other other party is a minor then age isn't irrelevant but I was making an assumption of the age of the other party being close to the age of consent - my bad. Sorry.

Both parties are 15 years old.

Very difficult without knowing every single little fact, such as:
did they know each other, were they dating?
where did the assault happen?
who did the victim tell, and why?

To put it bluntly, the victim will be less likely to be believed if she was caught in a undressed in her bedroom with the boy and they had been dating for a while than if he were a total stranger who accosted her in a public place.

In the first scenario the defence would say that the victim consented, is 'crying' rape and attempted suicide because she was caught out, her parents are angry and she is ashamed and frightened of the repercussions.

They were friends, kissed on the day before. She went to his house and he pined her down telling her 5/6 times she would be raped if she didnt do what she was told and what he wanted. Boys mother was downstairs.
girl was forced to perform acts and made to recieve them.
girl took overdose 2 hours after returning from boys house and self harmed badly and was taken hospital where she disclosed to nurse what happened.

Reported to police next day after incident as she was in hospital. That was sunday. Police took minimal statement, her clothes and we are still waiting for them to do a proper video interview now. 4 days later!!!
He has denied it. And my children cannot go on their school bus now as he gets on it. So I have to do the 4 journeys a day to take them. He is allowed to use the bus even on bail

The defence wouldn't stand a chance. I can't see how she'd of been 'caught out' - she wasn't even at her parents house when it happened.

Attempted suicide after something like that will hold strong in court, especially if they find semen on her clothing.
