2014 Ford Ka Start Stop

my niece has just recently bought this car and cant find her manual, the amber A symbol comes on the dashboard when she starts it but she is unsure whether this means the start stop is active or not, there is also a button with the A symbol on and again unsure if she should press this to either deactivate it or to turn it on. i am going to download a manual for her and print it off but help needed in the meantime

Start-stop systems are "on" by default...so when you start the engine from scratch, it is "on". If you subsequently press the S-S button during a drive, you will be turning it "off".
