Hi Abers, would be grateful for some advice. We're thinking about getting a Tivo box for our Virgin TV package. Two questions ..... how many days in advance can you record things - we seem to believe that you can record up to 14 days in advance with a Tivo box. And apparently you get a whole load of films you can watch (loads and loads apparently) - do you have to pay for these films, as you do with the regular Virgin package?

And are there any other pros? And the cons?

Hope you can help, many thanks, Chox.

Tezmand,....sorry to labour the point re one-off recordings, but are you sure?
as far as i'm aware only a series will be recorded on series link, one off's wouldn't be - unless it had exactly the same name as the series & on the same channel that your series link is set up for
You don't need an app on a smartphone mccfluff, any internet access will do. I set mine from on holiday using my laptop.
Tezmand is right - ours finds tennis we haven't set up, perhaps because we've marked it as "liked".
thanks mccf.....I've just tried to do it for a prog on Ch5 tonight at 8, + the series option just doesn't appear at all.
lol, i forgot about using a laptop, i seem to use my phone for everything these days - the app on the phone works as a remote as well
