Stuey, the full English is Gods reward for being English. Fried bread, fried eggs, sausage, bacon, black pudding beans or tomatoes, and mushrooms.Enough cholesterol to kill an army or set a working man up for the day
Not for breakfast, anneasquith:) Tambo, I save the grease to oil my clocks:) Anyway, I'm off now to prepare the culinary delight...Nice talking to you all.
IMO there's no time of day or night when a fry-up wouldn't be welcome - bacon, sausage, kidneys, black pudding, eggs, tomatoes/beans, fried slice(s) & a pint of tea strong enough to stand a spoon up in...
Study: I just wind it past 3. It will of stopped at 3am this morning. Once I wind it to 4am it will go till 3am tomorrow. Obviously I'd wind it forward from 3am to the correct time.
Dizmo, if I'm reading your post correctly, it sounds like your clock is what is called a thirty hour clock. In other words, it will just run for a day (and maybe a few more hours) on one winding. Wind it up until the key won't turn anymore. But then you say it's a "grandmother" clock, and these usually run for 8 days. Can you post a picture of it and the movement?
