Is there a prof body that oversees them? Nothing serious - my GP is just low quality.

Mamya is right - in the first instance the complaint has to go to the practice manager, who has a deadline to investigate and get back to you. If that isn't satisfactory, then you can escalate your claim to NHS England. Every surgery has a complaints process these days and the details of it should be in your practice's patient information leaflet.
If you're really unhappy, change GPs, that's esy to do these days.
