Re-Painting A Tom Drum

I need to spray or paint my floor tom which has been adapted so i can use it in the street drumming band, with whom i drum with.

The drum is electric blue and i need it to be black. Any suggestions what paint or spray i should use ?

I think I'd get on down to Halford's for an aerosol and some wet 'n dry paper, Hammers.

To add to builders answer a can of primer after wet and dry and some masking tape
