Refund Wanted For Faulty Item After 30 Days
4 Answers
Hello,
My husband bought me an eternity ring in February 2013. After a few weeks a stone fell out, Ernest Jones repaired it, it fell out again, they then replaced the ring, Same thing happened again. They replaced and same happened again. They agreed to change the style, again a stone fell out, repaired then replaced, I changed style again.
I have now had 7 rings from them and with all the time at insurers deciding what to do (ie is the repair economical or should they replace) I have only ever had a ring for a few weeks. The last one I bought on December 12th and again a stone has fallen out and I have had enough. The store are only offering a credit voucher which I will not accept as I am not going to get another one from them but as the original purchase was almost two years ago they say I cannot have a credit card refund.
My argument is that the rings are not fit for purpose, I now only wear this one socially not for work) backed up by over 100,000 negative reviews on google, 1 star reviews on the website, complaints on facebook and twitter.
Can anyone advise what rights I have and how to proceed,
many thanks
