Sorry for putting this into Chatterbank, but I wasn't sure where else to post it !

I last had a bowel cancer screening kits sent to me 2 years ago, when I was 60, and 2 years before that when I was 58. But I haven't received one recently. Does anyone know if these kits are sent out on a regular basis ?

yes, should be every two years - or do Wales have their own regime?

Very good hospital. Always on top of their game in most fields of medicine. As I get older I feel so fortunate that I have their Trust Hospitals on my doorstep, my wife works at Roehampton, and The Royal Marsden 5 mins down the road from my front door. Hope you got a favourable result from them as I would suspect.

It was a bit of tidying up on an old injury (bit of Argy Bargy back in '82) will have to go back I suspect as it's playing up a bit atm, but no big deal.
retrocop - which Marsden do you go to?
In the East Midlands we get sent the tests regularly every two years - had 3 so far and I'm just turned 67.

The Surrey branch in Downs Road Sutton.
Baldric,
At least it couldn't have been a Charlie Gee I am hoping!!!
Oh right. Just wondered if it was the Kingston branch as I go there a lot and see quite a lot of familar faces. I am familiar with the Sutton one. The Marsden are excellent - they don`t leave a stone unturned.

Eye's watering at the thought!
It wasn't too far off though!
(Damn, now I'm going to have to shoot you!)

Should I get the choice can I opt for the Hi Power first. If unavailable the L1A1 or Gimpee but please not the Charlie Gee. The wife would go spare with all the mess on the carpet!!! :-)

That is interesting. I was not aware there was a Kingston Branch of the RMH. I knew of the Brompton Rd and Sutton branches of course. You live and learn. You are so right. They are very methodical and caring. Brilliant treatment.
@Retrocop

Well, you kept that under your hat. Someone close to me was the same about theirs. Didn't want family members who never normally visit (due to distance) suddenly fawning all over them while they were too tired to even speak.
Anyway, I know a little of what it's like, so I wish you well.

.

I had a stream of people coming to say good bye ( CT for lymphoma ) and was impressed by the number who said they couldnt face a dying man.....

but I didnt die ! .
they didnt know that at the time of course
... //suddenly fawning all over them while they were too tired to even speak. //

having been a consumer of this
a lot did not fawn
they looked priddy shocked and wondered if they were going (to have to ) to go thro this when they died
