Where are you rabet? We've had no snow here at all so far this winter.
Snow's gone, but the pond is still frozen over (apart from a small section I keep ice free) and the lawn seems to be in a permafrost state with the grass looking very unhappy.

Snowdrops are out though and the first few daff shoots are just beginning to appear in a sheltered corner.
Daffs have been out since mid Dec. and crocus and snowdrops are now to be seen in my local park
You in Menorca with sqad, jan?
No Dave. I'm in Sussex so I suppose we're that much closer to the equator here ? xx

Janbee, eastern slope of the Pennines. Yes, serves me right, but it's not my choice.
Rabet, but I'll bet it's gorgeous come spring and summer. xx

No snow in Suffolk this winter!
The last of it melted away today, well, i say snow melted, it was hard impacted ice. It's still on the hills though.
Snowdrops are in bud here in NW. Just noticed today my rhubarb has grown during the winter - amazing. We've had only the odd dusting of snow now & again.
Not a Yorkie then rabet?
Me either by birth but I would never be so rude as to diss my so far wonderful Yorkshire hosts like you just did and maybe that's why I love it here?
Have you tried being nice to your "insular" neighbours? What? All of them are insular?
