My tumble dryer is quite a few years old now and today it has stopped drying it doesn't get hot so nothing can dry in it,hubby has switched couple of wires at back so low heat is on high heat and vice versa,but now its blown again(not surprised)is this easy to repair or would i be better getting new one,cheers guys!!!

The heating element has died.

I really believe you would be better off buying a new one - they are much more efficient and cheaper to run than older driers.

And once things start going wrong, it seems never ending.

I agree but he seems determined to go buy 2 replacement thermostats(or something)tomorrow and repair it,don't expect to have it working for long though!!

One last thing to try... Look for a recessed 'button' on the back. Some driers have reset switches hidden on them.

There must be a reason for it 'tripping' though (if that is the case). Check that there are no obstructions in the venting.
