I can highly recommend the RSC's production of Love's Labour's Lost...the best performance of this play I've ever seen.
Cast, music, costumes......were a delight but the stars of the show must be Simon Higlett for the fabulous set design......and Christopher Luscombe for his direction....a dream team......
Another dream team is the one in my kitchen cooking supper.....but that's another story......☺
I have only watched one shakespeare play, it was Twelth Night at the Shakespeare theatre at Stratford on Avon. This was about 20/25 years ago. It was ok but really over my head. Never did Shakespeare at school so was really out out of my depth, but it was an evening out with a potential fling!
Still here, Caran....never did Shakespeare at my school either....It needn't be over anyone's head really....he wrote for everyone.
You don't need to try to understand everything.....just let it flow over you and you will become part of it......and there is usually a dish to gaze at when there is a bit you're not quite following....
Twelfth Night is good as is Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Nights Dream is my favourite that I've seen. Seen about ten or twelve of the plays on stage all a long time ago but they were fun..... go on G be naughty..;0)
It was my boss, he took me out for an italian meal, then the theatre. I felt flattered. He was living away from home. I saw him a few times. I met OH and that was the end of it. Strange when you think of these past episodes.
