Asking Out Randoms

Have you ever asked anyone out that you'd literally just met?? i.e. Shop assistant, in a pub, the girl that you deal with at the estate agents?? (note the last one).

As much as i'd love to I'd just find really really tough to just take the leap.

Dating as much as it's fun, I think can be really hard too.

You can't seem to eager (for fear of scaring them off) but can't seem to distant (for fear of them thinking you don't care)

In "Kates World" I would ask her out (if I were you that is) if she had flirted back when you spoke. If she says no or comes up with an excuse then you don't really need to see her again so it doesn't matter to much.

yeh, i went to the bar for a drink, the barmaid had a ring on the finger but she looked to young to be married, so i said "is that real or is to keep unwanted admirers at bay" she said "its for unwanted admirers" i said "would i be an unwanted admirer".........she said "no"...we went out for a couple of months!!!

first time i had ever chatted someone up!!! oh to be young again!!

i am sure there is a certain look bout me that only attracts older men, i dont mind that coz i prefare older men, young lads tend to look the otha way & i very rarely get a snog off one! apparently my mate says they r scared, i am 21 & my boyfriends have always been ova 30! people keep tellin me 2 get a fella my own age but i dont fink i can! only older men seem 2 tackle me any 1 no why?

I've never actually asked anyone out like that but on a slightly different note, if i occasionally see what i think is an absolutely stunning girl walking down the street, i often have the urge to just go up to her and say "scuse me, i'm not a dirty old perv nor am i trying to pull you but i really do think you are the most stunning girl i've ever seen".....and then just say bye and walk off.

Never plucked up the courage to do it yet.

I was asked out by a complete stranger on my train journey home. We exchanged glances on the platform, i got on the train first and he sat next to me! I nearly died. The whole journey home i sat with my head in my book and didnt look down! When we got to our station, we both got up, he turned round and asked me out1 We exchanged numbers and went out..nothing happened due to circumstances, but the day after he emailed me and told me he'd noticed me for ages and had wanted to speak to me..I am gutted as he is lovely, but he is a lot older and want different things..I was very flattered, nothing like that had ever happened to me. it takes a lot of guts and confidence...Do it! x

Peachy....I'm 22 and the my question may well answer yours. Maybe its just the case that older blokes sheerly have the nack for asking out where as us younger folk are too worried about getting knocked back and looking like an idiot.
