At the risk of appearing smutty I reasoned to myself that it'll be 10-14 days before I'm able to 'dip my wick'! LOL
The surgeon said no sex for 2 weeks, I told him it'd take that long to persuade her anyway!
Tut!....After I had a hysterectomy I asked the surgeon how soon I could start rowing again.....(I truly meant in a boat on the river)

Well I've never heard it called that before...he said....but if you can both wait til after your check up.....☺

Yep, the old ones are the best! One surgeon recounts about how often male partners who attend gynae clinics with their wives/parters ask how long after the operation(hysterectomy) they will have to wait before sex can resume.

His standard answer is "A gentleman generally waits at least until the aneasthetic has worn off"!
Get well soon, Chill. No biking and no rowing ! then for a week or two.
I know.........the man's chin drops when he hears....No sex for six weeks ....then hits the floor when he hears....and don't lift anything heavier than a kettle....☻

Thanks tonyav.
No, definitely not! I'm even fearful of getting even vaguely 'excited' at the moment!

Anaesthetic, even. My typing and spelling has been quite shocking today.
Chill, only look at the Times or the Observer for a week or two no Red tops !.
Ah don't fret....we can see your mind is elsewhere today.....;-)
chilldoubt. im no expert on male gentalia but, I don't think you will get 'excited ' tonight :)
LOL, could be a tad painful if he does, anne.

Right, thanks again to all for the kind sentiments, it's been a long day and it's time to climb the wooden hill.
G'night all.
Sleep well.....x
G'night Chill. Don't be running up the wooden hill now !.
Good luck mate. Now if I dig back to the card you sent me when I was recovering from my OP?? Would I be so cruel? I split my stitches laughing but it wouldn't be so painful as where I think your stitches may be? Should I? No not to an old mucker. Best wishes and get well soon. Can't keep an old /young soldier down.
I didn't know that you were poorly chill. I am sure that you were as brave as possible. I hope that it stops hurting soon.
