Tattoo Covering

My dad let me get a tattoo a while back on my shoulder but my mom doesn't know about it. We are going to Las Vegas and my mom wants to go swimming in my aunts pool. I can not let her know about my tattoo. Any ideas on how to cover it/ good excuses for wearing at shirt while swimming?

The obvious excuse for wearing a T shirt whilst swimming is that you don't want to get sunburnt.
But you Mum is going to find out sooner or later, so perhaps better to tell her before you go so that you can enjoy the break.

If you're old enough to get a tattoo, you're old enough to decide what you want to do to decorate your body. Just tell her before you go, and you'll have her few days of not speaking to you out of the way.

As advised, if you are old enough to get a tattoo, you are old enough to accept that not everyone is going to agree with your choices, but they are still your choices.
