Can't see the Scots repeating the heroics of the Irish, but (to quote Sir Geoffrey) "Cricket's a Funny Old Game" and so I shall settle in with a nice Malt to see what unfolds ...
Ghastly collapse by the Scots - no way back from 12-4.
They got some respectability with 142 all out - then NZ took it all much too lightly and were eventually relieved to scramble home with 7 down. If the Scots had caught better it could just have been a real nailbiter.
I didn't see the game, but thought Scotland might do better than that. Even so, New Zealand have become an excellent team. I hope England put up a fight against them.
If New Zealand treat the England bowling attack in the same cavalier fashion they treated the Scottish then they'll either thrash them or fall flat on their faces as arguably they deserved to do this morning
