Are Apple Cool?
Don't get me wrong I like their products but have found the support I have got to be poor. Also they seem to make sure that you have to buy their overpriced leads etc.
But are they cool?
Quite a lot of the staff in the shops are cool and trendy.
I believe that it was encouraged to dress down in some areas to appear cool.
But when they are making such vast profits.
When they are using tax avoidance schemes.
When they get their products made in China in sweat shops and not made in the UK or USA.
When you have to buy songs at what I would call overinflated prices.
When they pretend to be trying to make music more secure to protect the music industry when I feel it is to maximise their profits.
I don't think they are cool they have just chosen a well used business model.
But am I naive for expecting them to do otherwise?

But ... I got utterly fed up (fed up, fed up) of the chronic state of insecurity that you live with on Windows and (especially) Android based equipment. Software that crashes, viruses, malware etc etc etbloodycetera.
So now I'm 100% Apple (phone/pad/mac) and it's wonderful ... everything just works . A seamless 'all my stuff on all my devices' solution that is so easy to use.
Yes it's expensive, yes it's a 'nanny state' - but it really does work and (as woofie says) the online support is impeccable.

I have a MacBook and an ipod & last year I got an ipad and an ipad air - all from competitions. The MacBook is great (as is the ipod) but the ipads were given as gifts to family.
The Apple products are of a higher standard but I think that the windows system is easier to use. I need it to be easy to use.
I am very easily confused even on a 'good' day health-wise. But can someone confirm if the roller thingy on the mouse goes in different directions when scrolling on a Mac and a Windows computer. It would explain much if it does.

I think apple products are over priced but I have got used to them now and can't seem to get to grips with any of the other operating systems - thing 1 has a windows based tablet that none of us are getting very far with but the kids like their Kindles/Nexxus. Boy #1 has an iMac but he is a teenager so can switch between operating systems.
