Oh Chancing His Arm Again!

Tomorrow he is doing a sponsored event. He is going in his MG to Evesham for breakfast, then driving to South Mimms services where some of them have booked a hotel for the evening. Then later on about 10.30 pm. there will be over 100 MG's driving the circuit of the M25. They will all be in fancy dress, got to have the top down in any kind of weather. He is wearing a wolfmans onsie and in the passenger seat will be granddaughters stuffed five foot tiger.
Rather him than me. It's the most uncomfortable car I've ever had the misfortune to get in, and that is a struggle in itself. Getting out of it is another thing too.

Does your husband belong to the MG club? My friend`s brother belonged to that. They used to go to France every year.

He belongs to three MG forums. They organise a few rallies each year.

The reason I ask is because my friend`s brother belonged to the club and was driving down through France. He wasn`t driving his MG - he was driving a larger vehicle that could take more than two people. One of the MGs broke down and he volunteered to go back and pick up the passengers up because he was the only one with a larger vehicle. In the process, he overtook a lorry, crashed and was killed. It was a terrible shock for everyone.

They are hoping that by doing it overnight it will not be as bad. He reckons it will only take 2 hours then he can go back to the hotel and bed! Talk about Rose coloured glasses, but you know what some men are like when they get an idea in their heads, nothing sways them!
