I've never seen a ghost but wanted to hear other's experiences

Saw them on my old TV all the time.

I noticed that my 14 year old nephew appeared in the kitchen before mid-day last Sunday, and we all thought that it might have been an unearthly apparition !

But he was hungry apparently, that all. Took a packet of biscuits and went back to bed.

Yes. Once 45 years ago. I was staying at boyfriend house. His mother was in room downstairs, dying of cancer. Ghost appeared in open doorway. Next day I mentioned to bf's brother I had seen something previous night. He described to me who he thought it could be. I didn't describe her. He did - very accurately. It was his mothers mother.
