Recommendations For New Laptop

Looking to get new laptop. Budget around £500-£600. Need for basic computing, Microsoft office. Looking at touch screen/tablet 2-1 setup plus light weight. Also want to store photos and I tunes library. Any recommendations??

Although you have a buget of upto £600, to do what you want does not require a high spec machine. This one at £209.99 appears very good value in that it comes with MS office (which would otherwise cost the order of £70). I’d check out any restrictions on the MS office supplied (e.g 1 year subscription etc – which might make it not such a bargain).

For between £500 and £600, you will get a gold plated laptop these days !
I would mosy on down to PC World and have good browse. If you really want to pay all that money, get the best spec you can find, although you could spend a lot less and still have a good machine. I have used Tesco Direct a lot recently, and you can collect it from your nearest store, which beats staying in waiting for the postman !
