Newspaper Supplement Question...

Firstly: Hello!

Secondly: Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong thread

Thirdly: I'm a freelance cartoonist and dad of three. I mostly draw cartoons for Private Eye and the Spectator. I'm developing a comic strip at the moment about IVF, families and children. I'd like to send it to a bunch of newspapers for feedback, ideally the Family or Health sections of newspapers. My problem is, most newspapers run a Family bit or a Health bit at some point during the week, but I can't really afford to buy every paper, every day, to find out when they publish them.

So, I was wondering if anybody here would be kind enough to point me in the direction of any papers that they know of that have these elements and which days they run?

I'd be interested in national and regional papers.

your best bet may be weekends, when newspapers double in size and run specialist sections like the ones you're looking for. (You might need to find out the names of the commissioning editors of individual sections rather than the overall editors of the whole paper.) Does your local library stock papers you could thumb through?
