seadogg: Microchips are only about £1.10 each. So if someone donates (gives Street Dog) £10 for micro-chipping their animal (cats, dogs, horses etc) then that single donation will pay for 9 free micro-chippings'. The scanner, the gun, and the sharps box belong to Borneholm Dog Rescue - I merely borrow them.
The same applies for the more or less everything else.
I pay for my own bus fare, I could just as easily ask the Ben's Centre to pay for my transport (they get funding from the council) and then use that money for chips, flea treatment and wormers.
Nothing is taken from BDRR. it would seem pretty stupid having 2 lots of stuff when I'm the only person who microchips for or on behalf of Borneholm Dog Rescue.
