Stress and touch-typing
Am still pretty young but on the verge of giving up trying to become a proper secretary due to lacking touch-typing speed and practice. My current full-time admin job controls my days and is highly demanding whilst in a large busy workplace. With many commitments, responsibilities and on and off depression in and out of work, I can't seem to further myself. I do some actual secretarial work already but sitting with 60wpm colleagues doesn't help. It shatters my confidence and concentration to practice and I end up looking at the keyboard to speed up to dealines.
Wish I was given a little space of my own to practice whilst doing that bit of secretarial work but it feels like too much to ask or expect any such offers. Am beginning to doubt my abilities and losing any self-confidence that I had at all. I've either lost my motivation or am swamped with making other sacrifices.
Any advice or personal experience is appreciated...

Now is the time for all good men to come the the aid of the party.
and
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
These two phrases cover all the letters of the alphabet.
If you practice these, it will soon bring your speed up to an acceptable level. Good luck from a retired PA.
