Well on this day -- 24th April - in 1981 there was some 8 inches of snow in Yorkshire & Lancashire. And there are records of it snowing in August whilst they were hay making! So hang on and wherever you are in the UK there is a chance for snow in 'summer'. (And all this greenhouse gas talk is just wrong. Sane people believe it to be just one of the cycles of Nature!)
I got stuck in snow driving near Granada in Spain one June due, it has to be said, to having been convinced we were at 4,000 feet when we actually had a Spanish map and were at 4,000 metres!
