I am trying to find the Lightscribe drivers for an HP dvd556s DVD Writer.

I have searched the Hewlett Packard site, and elsewhere with no success.

Has anyone any idea where I can find them?

Thank you for replying, still can't just get the drivers.

I will contact Hewlett Packard, thanks again.
PS: According to the user guide
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02037528
that drive is 'plug & play' anyway. (i.e. it uses drivers that are built into Windows, without the need to install any new drivers).

If you're still stuck, try the support form here:

Thanks Chris, it won't work and asks for drivers. I will fill in the form and see what happens. Thanks for your help.
Are you thinking of the Lightscribe software ie, the software required to produce Lightscribe labels as opposed to the drivers needed to operate the drive as a DVD writer? As Buenchico says, the drive is "Plug and Play", so the drivers should take care of themselves.
If so, have a look here

You were right bhg481, I was asking on behalf of someone else.

He downloaded the software again from www.lightscribesoftware.org.

It is now working, thank you very much for your help, and thank you too Chris.
Glad to be of help.
