Its Not Going To Be My Day

Was there ever an instance when you though its not going to be my day ,there of course are far more serious events in peoples lives ..This really happened to me .in a bookies shop I backed a horse now this is going back 40 years ago There was no cameras and tv screens in the offices like now .Anyway I backed the horse it was 33/1 well the announcer say winner number 2 what ever and its name my horse .Happy days .......two minutes later announcement hold the result .Correction to result as it was such a bad wet and windy day the number on the saddle cloth was muddy as a result when in unsaddling enclosure it was discovered it was number 12 .So says I ah well I did not need the old money anyway

Done that but it was my day! I worked out the first and second by their draw numbers, then went and backed the draw instead of the horse numbers - Forecast paid over £500!

it could have been worse, you could have backed number 12 and thrown the ticket away

Sometimes I play Russian roulette Lotto.

I choose 6 numbers but don't buy a ticket.

When I check the result I congratulate myself for saving a pound (or two now), as I never get winning numbers.
