Not sure what your point is - Ms Brookes has not been found guilty of any crime, so there is no bar to her employment by anyone.

She was found not guilty by a Jury.

Apparently she didn't see anything, didn't hear anything and consequently, didn't say anything but I found it incredible she could have worked in a newspaper, where so much crime was committed, by so many people, and yet she was unaware of any of it happening. At the very least, she was the worst Manager in the world, ever, as she allowed it all to happen on her watch.

She is now going back to work for an employer, that allowed all the previous
crimes to happen. Her period in purgatory doesn't seem to have been very long, has it ?

What you know, and what you can prove in a court of law are two different things.

As far as I am aware, Mr Murdoch was not convicted of any offence either -see above.

I'm not sure that she has had - or deserved - a period in 'purgatory' - she has probably been enjoying the £12 million pay-off she received from Mr Murdoch when she left his employ.

Andy...Murdoch was the owner of the now defunct NOTW, and everything that occurred, happened during his period of ownership. That is not an opinion....it is a fact. He even said as much when he appeared before the Commons Select Committee, when he remarked that "today is the most humble day of my life"

So everything went on but he didn't know about it and neither did his Editor at the time, Rebekah Brooks. I find that remarkable........in fact I find it incredible.

I can only repeat my previous point, knowing that someone is a conniving dishonest thoroughly bad newspaper owner, and that his chief editor has overseen some of the worst skulduggery in the history of the newspaper industry is one thing ... proving it is another.

Not as bad as the Mirror, though, andy. Which despite indulging in more phone hacking than all the Murdoch titles put together barely gets a mention on here. I wonder why that could be?

I think you are in an area that even when one is acquitted of an offence there are still regulators who rub their hands and say do the whole lot again on the balance of probabilities !

I think Murdoch paid for her defence ( £10m sticks in the mind ) and with partrons like that it was likely that she would be re-hired - well hired anew
