Is Greece Warm And Dry Enough For A Holiday At The Start Of April.
We've had a really rubbish start to the year and I'm hankering after a trip abroad for a bit of warmth and sun during the easter school holidays with my hubby and 8 yr old son.
I've never been away In April so don't know what to expect.
The best bet seems to be the canary islands (which we have visitied in january before and it was lovely) but the prices seem be really high whereas the greek islands are a lot more affordable. Has anyone experienced the greek islands in April and would you recommend it?....TIA

Probably warm but not necessarily sunny. It partly depends which Greek island; the ones closer to the mainland aren't the same as the ones out to sea like Crete. That may be the reason prices are low.
It's usually better than here but its often raining so not really a sunny destination in spring, most european holiday places are better in the autumn than spring. Some of the hotels in Crete dont even open until May. Egypt is nice then, went to Sharm in April and it was very hot. Think you have to re-think and do some research on climate web-sites.
