after being together for about 10months, my boyfriend cheated on me. i found out it happened 3times in total. it was just a kiss with his ex girlfriend. should i forgive him?

Why did it stop?

A) you found out
B) she stopped it
C) he stopped it?

If it's A or B I'd personally tell him to sling his hook. If it's C I might consider otherwise. Even so, three times is not attributable to 'a mistake'. It would have been calculated. Without knowing the details and how your relationship works, it's impossble to say more.

sorry to be blunt but no I would not forgive him ,if he can do that to you he obviously hasn't got over his ex and next time it could be more than just a kiss, find someone else good luck

No way would I forgive him!! Once could just about be excused as a moment of madness - but three times!! And they're the times that you know about - there could be more!

If you choose forgive him then you DO NOT reserve the right to throw it up in his face ever again. You've found him out now, he may not be willing to mess up again if he thinks he'll lose you. If you love him and think he's worth it then you'll have to find it in your heart to accept his mistake and move on. But you can't be soft on him if he does it again.

Personally I would leave him. I know I'd never be able to get the thought out of my mind and it would eat me up inside and I'd end up resenting him. I'm pretty bitter like that!

Realistically, ladypink, what it boils down to is whether or not you think you deserve better?

Sounds like he still has issues with his ex. That's not necessarily a fatal sign - many B&S threads deal with people who have trouble getting over their exes - but it's a bad one. I'd back off at least until he's sorted himself out.

Sorry, but cheating is cheating in my book (even if it was just a kiss) thats showing affection to someone you know you shouldn't be. I'm a bloke and had it done on me - it's not nice!! If he's with you, then he's with you. If not and he wants to be with this other girl - he should do something about it!

I do agree with Champagne too - if you do decide to continue with him, you can't throw this back at him in the middle of some argument in the future.

I guess the real question is, can you still trust him not to hurt you again? (i know i couldn't - and haven't in the past)

Maybe you should be asking "Why did he start doing it?" It's not a good situation, and I'm not condoning it, but if your bf had been happy and content in the relationship, he would not have strayed (and after all, it was only a kiss). Examine his faults by all means, but you should also ask questions of yourself.

Laypink06- Im sorry but this is very true. At 10 months you should still be on cloud 9 only thinking of eachother. The idea of being with someone else should not be an issue this early on, and it is ......then it's not right. Plus it happened 3 times. LOL No way girl. Drop him like a bad habit. He is not worth it, and it WILL happen again, although next time they may not stop at just kissing.
