Is there a site where people review garages?

My pal needs a repair and we're floundering around looking for a garage feeling no better informed than the days when we'd base our decision on the shape and size of the ad in the yellow pages!

A lot of "review" sites are cons anyway.

I go on TripAdvisor a lot and it is obvious many hotel and restaurant reviews are fakes.

They are people who register for TripAdvisor and do a review the same day, but then never do another review again.

I went to a B&B in Devon a few years ago and on TripAdvisor almost every other "review" for that B&B was by someone who only did one review.

I spoke to the B&B owner at the time about computers and he was very knowledgeable so I guessed he was doing many of the reviews.

I did report it to TripAdvisor but they did nothing about it.

I'm happy to be selective and ignore the once only reviewers etc.

I'll keep looking, and feel sure there's something that covers local services .

But it will always be someone's first time to review.

Ask around , there will be people in the area who have used local garages. Word of mouth is the best advert.

Check out Honest John's 'Good Garage' website. He is a highly respected motoring journalist for the Daily Telegraph

I would trust these reviews and recommendations.
