Average rate of pay for a salesperson

Hi,

I've got a graphic design business in Hull in the North of England and I've built it up to a level where I am ready to start taking on staff. However I have no idea what an average basic pay is for a salesperson or a commission rate for that matter either... does anyone know? If possible I would like to know the rates for the north of england and the south as well as I'm looking to take on a few people from accross the country.

Google 'salary checker' most of the big recruitment sites have uk averages for most jobs. Failing that call round the major recruitment agencies in your area and just ask if they thik they may get business out of it they'll probably be biting your hand off to help!

try looking on the jobcentre website www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk to see what other company's are offering for similar employees. Good luck x
