Baby in hospital ...
My baby niece (she's 16 months) was rushed to hospital in an ambulance this morning. When she woke up, she could barely lift her head and was all floppy.
Apparently, her blood sugars are low and she's being given glucose and they're trying to find out what's caused it. Will she be alright? What could it possibly be? I'm so worried about her x

I went to visit her before work this morning and as I went through the ward she was shouting 'Care!' (how she says my name) and bouncing in her cot- so she's a lot, lot better! As it was this morning her levels had been normal since late last night and apparently they were going to test her this afternoon at about five-ish and if they have remained the same she can come home. Yay!
They're going to show my sister how to prick her skin and test her blood levels herself in case she ever goes floppy and lethargic again.
Thanks again for all your concern. I'll let you know later tonight if everything's still fine xxxxxx
She's home now- thank god!
Her test results aren't back yet but she's fine for now. If the tests aren't conclusive, she'll have to go back in and fast for 24 hours so they can see if her blood sugars were low from lack of food (they shouldn't do that anyway). But I'm just so pleased she's ok.
Thank you so, so much for your concern. I love you! x
