12 year old son tells me that in DT (Design and Technology) at school next week he will be taught how to sew and iron

What the ***???

This is the education system which also taught him sex education at 7 years old

Whatever happened to the days when boys did woodwork and metalwork and girls did home economics and needlework?

Both my OH and son have always done their own ironing. And I can't sew. Not quite sure what that makes me
JL - the wife-dressmaker is a fireman, that's not his sole purpose in life. If a fireman and a soldier can sew, so can your lad.
Boys and girls are both human beings. They should both be taught how to exist independently. Skill should be shared.
