Is there a religion where the actual God demands that his followers give him praise rather than one of his adherents saying that it should be done?

However, if you are interested, and have a few bob to spare, you might like to nip out and buy a copy of the Koran, which will tell you all you need to know. If you're a bit short of the readies, I'm sure Naomi will let you borrow hers.
Although it appears that the God of the Jews and Christians required rather a lot of praise, it’s acknowledged that the bible was written by human beings, albeit allegedly inspired by God. However, the words of the Koran are reputed to have emanated directly from Allah who said, “There is no God except me, so worship me….”, so I guess Islam fits the bill more accurately. Muslim scholars, whose forte is often curiously selective editing, claim that Mohammed is mentioned in the psalms as well as in several other areas of the bible, but I have to be honest – I’ve never encountered him there.
America is full of people who did talk to god, directly.
As for Islam, Yes, it is mentioned in Quran and Muhammad (pbuh) has been mentioned in Bible. But of course you may not find word "Muhammad" written there as every Bible is just a translation of some kind. But there are verses in Bible where the person talked about only fits Muhammad (pbuh) and no one else. I have my reasons to believe so and others people may have their own. That's where I say that if someone is looking for "the name" then bring me the original Bible that was given to Jesus (pbuh) and I will show you the name.

Keyplus, //if someone is looking for "the name" then bring me the original Bible that was given to Jesus (pbuh) //
The original bible that was given to Jesus? What on earth are you talking about?
//and I will show you the name. //
We went through this years ago with our current version of the bible. You attempted to show me the name and came up with some convoluted explanation that simply doesn't work - and I demonstrated precisely why it doesn't work. The name isn’t there and you know it.
