What's Now TV like? Is the quality good? (I mean connection speed etc., not the choice of programme.)

It's surprisingly good. I watched a Francis Rossi concert lots of times, via Now TV, when it was available as part of the Sky Arts catch-up selection. I watched a Francis Rossi concert lots of times, via Now TV, when it was available as part of the Sky Arts catch-up selection. I enjoyed it so much that I bought the DVD and I'd need to get a magnifying glass out to study the pixels in order to able to see any difference between 'DVD quality' and the 'Now TV' quality'.
As long as you've got a reasonably good download speed you'll have no problems. (My copper wire ADSL 2+ connection is around 10Mbps. Now TV theoretically requires just 2.5Mbps but a bit more might be advisable to allow for occasional slow-downs in the system).

I have been using NOW TV for about 2-3 months and its OK. It wasn't hard to set up and its only a tiny little white box, which cost a whacking great £9.99 to buy on ebay !
The quality of the pictures are not marvelous, but perfectly adequate. If all you want is to be able to used the various i players, like the Beeb, CH4 and ITV, its much cheaper than buying a new "smart" TV.
The packages are much of a muchness......mostly satellite channels, that I personally don't want or need. But you don't need to subscribe to any package if you don't want to, But if you do, there is no contract, and you are able to cancel after the first month without penalty.
But, if all you want is the i players, than its free, after the initial £9.99.

The quality is excellent for me, but I have a good broadband speed. There are live channels, but I mainly watch the box sets and they never buffer or stutter. No blurring or crappy picture quality, always a crystal clear picture.
My only criticism of the box is I do not like the User interface of the Now app. That uses drop down menues that actually drop up and then you navigate sideways. I gave away my Now box and use the service via AppleTV which has a nicer user experience.
